BMW previously announced its plan to supply 40% of its cars in 2025 with an electric and hybrid versions, so BMW bought Chinese car batteries from CATL for 4 billion euros. The BMW plans do not stop in 2025 as it is planning for the future of its 2030s, making all its cars electric and hybrid.

This information was confirmed by Frank Van Meel, who stated that all BMW M Power vehicles will work on electric engines, but they have not been fully produced because the batteries added have significantly increased the weight of the vehicle. Increasing the weight of the car greatly influences the car's performance and speed. BMW is working to solve this problem.
