Avoid rapid changes in speed when accelerating or braking during sand driving.
Braking on sand will cause a mound to build up in front of all four wheels and possibly prevent your vehicle from moving off again. Rapid acceleration simply digs in the wheels and can lead to slower take-off speeds.
Also breaking on sand while driving on a dune will make the vehicle lose stability.
Watch this vedeo which spread on social media earlier this week. The video shows a FJ Cruiser going very fast on a dune then after a sudden stop, the car lost balance and starting flipping down the hill.
