The USA government is investigating complaints that side air bags on some Nissan Sunny 2012 will possibly inflate if the front doors are slammed hard.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that if investigations lead to an actual design problem in the car, then Nissan will have to recall more than 150 thousands cars in the USA alone.

The NHTSA will determine how often the problem happens and decide if a recall is needed. Nissan has reported that the manufacturer will give all the support to solve this issue and that their client safety is on their top priority.
