Prices of Petrol and Diesel to down! reality or April fool?

After several months of increase, the price of fuel is noticeably decreasing on April, as announced by Qatar Petroleum. This is the first time that prices decrease since last October.

The decrease was unexpected, while people think that prices are to up this month, it goes remarkably down to be as following:

Super Gasoline will cost QR1.90 per litter.
Diesel will cost QR1.85 per litter.
Premium Gasoline will cost QR1.80 per litter.

Prices become 5 dirhams less than last month, where Diesel price was 1.90 per liter, Super Gasoline price 1.95 per liter and Premium Gasoline 1.85 per liter.

This is an evidence of Qatar's ability to manage the crisis and deal with the siege imposed by neighboring countries for months. Qatar has used many policies to determine and estimate fuel prices. Fuel prices in Qatar were regulated in response to changes in the global market from April 2016. A special committee reviews fuel prices every month and make recommendations on proposed prices for the local market accordingly. Prices are announced by Qatar Petroleum at the beginning of each month.
